Operator Agreement
Last updated: 26 August 2026 · BusBroker.ie is operated by Parkvale Transport Limited
These terms apply to your account as an operator on BusBroker.ie, in addition to our general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Your status
You are an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of BusBroker.ie or Parkvale Transport Limited. You are responsible for your own tax, insurance, staff, and vehicle compliance.
2. Commission
BusBroker.ie takes a commission on each completed booking you accept, deducted from the customer's payment before your payout. Your current standard commission rate is shown on your dashboard. Founding operators receive a reduced rate on standard jobs as described at signup, locked in for good; this may change with notice for future bookings on non-founding accounts, but never retroactively on a job you've already accepted.
Premium jobs (booked through /premium) carry a flat 7.5% commission instead, regardless of your standard rate — this applies to every operator, including founding operators, and is disclosed again with a required acknowledgement when you submit a vehicle for premium listing.
3. When you get paid
Payment is released to you after the trip's travel date has passed, not at the moment the customer pays. This protects both sides: if a booking is cancelled after payment but before travel, no payout has been made, so nothing needs to be clawed back from you. Payouts are processed via Stripe to the bank details you connect.
4. Compliance
You must keep your insurance, CVRT, and PSV/Road Transport Operator Licence details current on your profile, and your supporting documents on file for review. New and updated documents are reviewed by BusBroker.ie before your compliance status can show as fully clear — you will not receive new job offers or be able to accept jobs until your documents are reviewed and your dates are current. This is automatic and applies to every operator without exception — it protects passengers and protects you.
5. Accepting and pricing jobs
Job offers go to the pool of active, compliant operators. The first operator to accept secures the job. When accepting, you may price the job anywhere between your own rate card and the customer's quoted price — you will never be asked to accept below your own rate, and the customer will never be charged more than they were quoted.
6. Cancellations and reliability
If you cancel a job after accepting it, this affects your reliability score, which influences how jobs are matched to you in future. Repeated cancellations may result in reduced job offers or suspension. If you cancel, we will attempt to find a replacement operator immediately; if you're available to cover a job cancelled by another operator, cover jobs carry a reduced 3% commission.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or deactivate your account for compliance lapses, safety concerns, repeated cancellations, fraudulent activity, or conduct that could damage trust in the platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
8. Liability
You are responsible for the transport service you provide, including vehicle safety, driver conduct, and passenger care, and must maintain your own passenger liability insurance throughout. BusBroker.ie's role is limited to booking, payment processing, and matching.
9. Data
Your data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. General
These terms are governed by Irish law. We may update these terms with notice; continuing to accept jobs after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, and you will be asked to explicitly re-accept before your next dashboard visit.
